Giovanni Miraglia is gratuated in Political Sciences. He is a translator, an essayist and a cultural promoter. Creator and promoter of different international poetry festivals, from 2003 to 2010 he has been also managing editor of  the cultural pages of “L’isola possibile”, the Sicilian monthly supplement of Il Manifesto. His main interests are related to translation, both in its proper and in a broader sense, i.e. as an opportunity of  comparison with aesthetic and cultural otherness. This subject has been approached by him as much in a practical way, by an inexhausted activity of translation from French, English, Corsican, Catalan and Yiddish; and in a theoretical way, promoting and coordinating meetings to reflect upon it, and proposing his own reflections.
